If you’re a talented and passionate QA Engineer with embedded software testing working experience, you’ve come to the right place. DSR develops its own IoT product for home automation systems. If you join our team, you’ll work with smart devices to test their software and hardware. The working process suggests regular interactions with software engineers, business analysts, and project managers as well as your participation in the product development. A big plus is your knowledge of script languages, working experience with the Zigbee wireless protocol as well as your sincere willingness to grow as a professional in the area.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop testing strategy and plan based on wireless technologies, including hardware and software components.
  • Develop test design and documentation.
  • Test the most complex software components.
  • Write test reports.
  • Mentor junior QA engineers; ensure that the quality of test documentation and results meets the company’s standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree or higher.
  • Knowledge of testing fundamentals: types and levels, test design techniques.
  • Experience with creating test procedures, checklists, and test cases.
  • Ability to apply test design techniques.
  • Experience in manual testing on system and integration levels.
  • Experience in firmware testing.
  • Working experience with network protocols.
  • Working experience with Linux operating systems.
  • English for technical documentation reading/writing.
  • Strong logical thinking skills.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and stress resilience.

Will be a Plus:

  • Experience in QA automation.
  • Experience in software development.
  • Knowledge of script languages (Python, Lua, bash, etc.).
  • Working experience with wireless protocols (e.g. Zigbee/Thread/LoRa) and Wireshark usage.
  • Ability to fix simple issues with hardware, e.g. soldering hardware components.
  • Knowledge of ISTQB terminology and classification by Foundations of Software Testing.
