We are currently looking for an Embedded Systems Software Engineer for our team.

Work at DSR is your chance to dive into the interesting world of wireless devices of various types using modern IoT protocols (BLE, Zigbee, Matter, etc.). The range of tasks, which our engineers are working on includes integration of IoT devices into existing ecosystems from Amazon, Control4, Legrand, etc. and development of our own products. Our teams work on various projects, which include firmware development for MCU and wireless SoC (under RTOS control or bare metal) and development for embedded systems based on Linux.

We are developing firmware for the wide range of devices, including:

  • IoT gateways/smart home centers that support one or more IoT protocols simultaneously.
  • Sensors for smart home systems, which allow used to control various environmental conditions.
  • Wearables for sport and everyday life.
  • Smart devices for pets, allowing users to control health and location of heir pets and control animals access to their house.

There is also a Zigbee stack among our products and we keep improving it to gather more and more recognition from major Zigbee device vendors and it has already become an official stack for Nordic Semiconductor, MediaTek, Espressif Systems and other vendors of Zigbee hardware.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing and developing firmware for wireless devices and/or embedded Linux-based systems
  • Working with our client’s team, interacting with the client directly.

Required Skills:

  • 3+ years of professional, relevant experience
  • Strong C/C++ software development skills
  • Experience in Linux development on any hardware platforms
  • Ability to independently develop part of a software product and efficiently communicate with other team members
  • Ability to work as a part of development team
  • Ability to understand and support existing codebase
  • Technical English

Will be a Plus:

  • Experience with embedded systems based on either OS-less (bare metal MCUs) or RTOS (FreeRTOS, Zephyr), including application and kernel-level development
  • Experience with wireless networks: Zigbee, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Z-Wave, etc.
  • Experience with embedded systems based any of: FreeRTOS, Zephyr, Linux, etc. including application and kernel-level development
  • Experience of devices integration to cloud services
  • Ability to define a design, document and then implement a subsystem of a software product
  • Knowledge of Python or any other scripting languages (Lua, Perl, sh, etc.)
  • Experience in technical team management
  • Optimize code size and performance, including existing code
  • Experience maintaining a large existing code base
  • Ability to recognize customers needs, take part in meetings/discussions
  • Experience working with a distributed team
  • Fluent English
