We seek an enthusiastic business development professional for the Business Development and Sales role.
The Business Development and Sales performs activities to identify, develop, and manage strategic partnerships with other businesses in the industry to realize key objectives, address unmet market needs, and create new customers and markets. Works closely with the Noema leadership team to define and execute business and product strategy. This position requires travel to be available to your team and to attend customer meetings as necessary.
Compensation has a base salary and variable component through achieving goals for the agreed-upon objectives (MBRs).

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to drive sales activity against key categories through research, prospecting, meetings, networking events, trade shows, etc.
- Effectively prospect regional and national brands and connect with executive-level decision-makers to present new business opportunities
- Directly engage and search for partners in relationship-building efforts designed to generate long-term business opportunities
- Manage existing relationships with partners by growing the business and seeking new opportunities
- Qualify and process inbound leads
- Perform product demos and educate prospects on Computer Vision technology, its benefits, and applications with assistance from the Noema technical team
- Meet and exceed sales quota goals
- Monitor customer, market, and competitor activity and provide feedback to the company leadership team and other company functions
- Work closely with the marketing and lead generation functions on supporting materials development
- Travel for in-person meetings with customers and partners and to develop key relationships
- Minimum 3 years of partnership development and/or direct sales responsibility with proven ability to meet and exceed business objectives/targets and track record in achieving said business objectives; career background must demonstrate a clear growth trajectory with increasing levels of expertise
- Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge and/or previous work with Computer Vision technology is a plus
- Technical background and/or ability to quickly assimilate complex information
- Previous experience selling and/or developing complex software products
- Skillful communicator interfacing directly with external partners and serving as a strategic partner to cultivate relationships across corporate and public/private sector organizations, often at the highest levels
- Must have a “hunter” mentality, securing meetings and closing deals with key decision-makers
- Must be organized and detail-oriented, able to meet tight deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced, fluid environment while balancing multiple tasks at once
- Extremely research and insights-driven, with a passion for using data to guide sales strategy and look for opportunities to develop business and sales channels
- Excellent written and oral communication as well as strong interpersonal skills
- This position will require periodic travel (in some seasons, 35-50%) to trade shows and partner and customer meetings
- Product management experience is a plus
- Demonstrate exceptional leadership skills
